Using the launcher

Once the launcher has found F1 25, you do everything from one window. This section covers the jobs you'll come back to: adding content, choosing what you play with, and keeping the game and the launcher in order.

The launcher window

  • The sidebar on the left opens News, Addons, Simplified Importer, Tools and Profiles. Under ADDON PANELS it lists the DB Editor and the pages that addons add, such as the Career Editor. You can see which profile is active at the bottom, under ACTIVE PROFILE.
  • News opens first. It has the Swofty Developments Discord invite and the latest posts and release notes.
  • Play sits in the bottom-right. Its status line reads Ready when the launcher has found the game. The arrow next to it has Play in VR and Play with console.
  • Drop a file or folder anywhere on the window to install it. Anything with a swofty.json goes to Addons; mods and tracks go to the Simplified Importer.
  • Send Logs to Developers, at the bottom of the sidebar, sends your logs to the developers when something goes wrong.

Everyday tasks

  1. Install an addon and turn it on in your profile.
  2. Import a mod or track and choose its place in the load order.
  3. Create or switch profiles to keep separate setups.
  4. Press Play, then change addon settings in game under ADDON SETTINGS.
  5. Restore the game when a file is in the way or after a game update.
  6. Update the launcher when Play becomes Update.
  7. Uninstall when you're done with it.
